Busy

Here are some of the fun things that have happened at the Denos house over the last two weeks.

Skylar lost her first tooth!

She was so excited to finally lose a tooth! She made sure to let Mom and Dad know where it was and where she would look for her money! I felt so bad because the next morning she came upstairs to wake me up and said, "Mom, I guess the tooth fairy didn't come, because there is no money for me." I said, "Are you sure?" "Yeah, I looked everywhere."
Well I knew that she had money waiting for her so I went down with her to look. She is such a restless sleeper that the dollar she got was all the way at the foot of her bed, tucked in her sheets! Of course her frown turned into a huge grin - missing one tooth or course!

Last Friday I reached 34 weeks pregnant - only 6 more to go! I had my appointment earlier in the week and I am measuring 3 1/2 weeks ahead of schedule. I have never measured ahead - I was late with both Skylar and Holland. I am not going to get my hopes up, but it would be nice if this baby decided to come just a little early! Although with my luck it just means I will have a 10 lb. baby and still be late! Only time will tell.

The girls had their spring dance performance. They both did a great job. They love getting all dressed up to perform and neither of them is scared to go out on stage. And of course Holland had to sneak into the picture and show his cheesy grin.

Speaking of his cheesy grin, this picture was taken by my neighbor for Holland's two year pics. He was NOT going to smile! He was not feeling very well the morning we went to take the pictures and nothing we did made him happy. Usually you just pull the camera out and he is running to get in the picture and smile. I kept telling him to say cheese and he would say "No Cheese!" Even with his grumpy attitude we still got some of the cutest pictures! This is one of my favorites. Check out her blog - she is really good! trishasphotography.blogspot.com

This was just one of those moments that I had to take a picture of. We just finished eating breakfast and Skylar found the newspaper sitting on the counter. She crawled up and opened it up to read the funnies. It just made me laugh because holding up all spread in front of her just made her look so big! She found one funny that she really loved. She called and read it to her dad and told me at least three times that day. I love and am sad that she is growing up so fast.

Kortnie is also growing up so fast. Today was her preschool graduation. (She still has another year of preschool before she will go to kindergarten - but her teacher does a graduation for every class.) She looked so cute in her cap and gown and she did a great job with her program. I could hear her singing almost every song and she had a permanent grin on her face the whole time! They sang some of the cutest songs and she was so proud of her accomplishment. She has learned a lot this last year. I love her teachers and am glad she will have one more year with them.

TWO!

Holland turned two on Friday! I can't believe that my baby is growing up so fast. We had a fun day planned and loved it.

This is during his birthday breakfast. He did NOT want his picture taken! I have never seen him try to hide his face like this.

After nap time we went to the park. He had so much fun.

Spaghetti dinner! Yummy! This is his favorite - can you tell!

His train cake! He loved it and kept saying choo choo!

I tried to get a picture of him sitting by the cake, but every time he got close he couldn't help but grab for the candy on the cake.

Opening Presents! New Trucks!

Soccer Ball!

New Bike!

Blowing out the candles!

All tuckered out at the end of a LONG day! He still wanted to play with all his new trucks.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY HOLLAND!

Big Boy!

I have been trying to grow Holland's hair out ever since his last hair cut back in November. I wanted him to have the "shaggy" hairstyle that is popular right now. I feel so bad for the kid because I would not give up and cut it even though he just doesn't have the right hair for it. Well I finally decided that I would cut it for his birthday. He turns two on Friday and I am getting his pictures done on Saturday so I decided it was about time.
Here is the before and after.

Before

During

After - He looks so big and grown up!

Now that it is short Kory has told me that I am not allowed to ever let it grow out again. I agree it looks so much better short. I can't believe my little boy is growing up so fast!
