It's Back!
I am so excited it is summer time. My favorite show of all time is back on. I am a huge So You Think You Can Dance fan. The season just started on Thursday and they are going to show the Salt Lake auditions on Tuesday. I can't wait to see what nut jobs come from our fabulous state. It should be a good show, so if you have nothing better to do on Tuesday night check it out.

Skylar's Preschool Graduation
Skylar's preschool graduation was tonight. We missed most of it because I could not get out the door on time. I am not used to three kids! I felt so bad about it because she was supposed to start out the night by leading everybody in the pledge of allegiance. She was so understanding and was a very good sport about the whole thing. We still wanted her to do it for us so we took this little video. She is so cute!

Introducing Holland Kory Denos

Holland Kory Denos

9 lbs 2 oz
22.5 inches long

Getting ready to leave the hospital.
Daddy's little boy! He is now one week old.

Big Sisters
I am so happy that Holland is finally here. He is such a wonderful addition to our family. He was stubborn in coming, but when he decided it was time things went very quickly. The morning of his birth I woke up at 4:00 am with contractions every 10 minutes. I thought this might be it, so I got up and showered hoping that it would help keep the contractions coming. Instead they totally stopped.
So, instead of going to the hospital, we loaded up the car that morning to go see my brother off to the MTC. My mom had a huge breakfast and then we hung out at her house until it was time for him to go. We did not actually go to the MTC because we didn't think the girls would do very well and we didn't want them to be a distraction.
We got home at about 1:30 pm and I was tired from getting up at 4:00 am so I decided to take a nap. I went to bed at about 2:00 and when I woke up at 3:00 I was having contractions again and this time they were about 5 min. apart. I knew it was time to go so we took the girls to my friend Adrienne's house and headed to the hospital.
The hospital was so busy we had to wait to get into a room. We got settled into the room and I started practicing my relaxation. I had a wonderful nurse who had just finished her degree to become a CNM, so she was very familiar with hypnobirthing and was very supportive. I was having a lot of back labor, but Kory was amazing and walked me through each contraction.
My midwife got to the hospital at about 7:00. I was grateful that she got there because I was wanting to get in the tub. The nurse didn't want to let me because she didn't want to speed up the labor and the babies heart rate kept dropping when I would have a contraction. I was in the tub for about 45 min. and felt like it was time so I got out and it was time to get the baby here. I pushed for about 30 minutes, which is the longest I have had to push with any of my kids, but he finally came. The umbilical cord was wrapped around his neck so he was pretty blue when he came out, but they quickly got him breathing and everything was fine. Overall it was a very successful birthing experience. I still can't believe I had a 9 lb baby!
Holland is now one week old and he is such a beautiful boy. We are having so much fun with him. I just wish I was getting more sleep, it is hard to get used to having a newborn again. Kory and the girls have been wonderful though!

Yes, I am still pregnant!
I know it is hard to believe that in today's world where most women are induced BEFORE their due date that I could be going on six days overdue and have no plans of induction for at least another week. I guess that is why going natural is crazy! I have tried EVERYTHING to get this kid to come and he is just not ready. I have another appointment with my midwife tomorrow and because I will be 41 weeks I have to start doing non-stress tests twice a week. Pray this little boy decides to come soon! We will post pictures as soon as I am home and feeling up to it!
On another note, if anyone would like a little girl I am willing to let you take one off my hands - free! Kortnie decided she wanted to wear panties today and then peed on the bathroom floor - inches away from the actual toilet. She also decided she wanted to wear four different outfits today, her third outfit she put on at about 1:00 this afternoon was pajamas and I could not convince her that they were not clothes she should wear during the day. Last, along with four other little girls (including Skylar) she managed to dump an entire bucket of laundry detergent all over my basement. It was fabulous!

Due Dates
Okay, I need to rant a little. Why do they give pregnant women due dates? Why can't they just say, "Oh you will have your baby sometime around the beginning of May." Instead they say, May 7th and then May 7th comes with no baby and you get frustrated! I realize I was late with Skylar and I wasn't really expecting to go early, but I am now ready to be done and this little boy is showing no signs of wanting to come out. Anyone have a trampoline? (j/k. well sort of). I was hoping with the storm it might start something, but as of right now - nothing! I guess I still have half the day, so we will see. Any tricks to get baby to come?
